Creepy Crawly

The crash bug has (we hope!) been fixed, allowing the ogres to raid poor Ruushi with impunity once again.

I've made what I think will be the last of the balance/feature passes through the Ruushi Invasion for the time being. I'm pretty happy with the way it's running now, and so I'll let it sit at an elapsed time of one week since inception. (Apparently my one-night coding impulses employ 168-hour nights.)

Updates this week will begin to focus on class improvements and foundational Scar-work once again. =) As a by-product of being locked into a single development issue all week, I've got a ton of backed up little seeds of ideas for each class to try out in my local test environment. =)

  1. Well the 168 hour nights were well worth it, probably the best feature added in a long time.
But I do have a concern. The reward mob, it is very frustrating to be sat in that room having already answered and see others enter and be dealt with ahead of you.

  7. Is there any chance we can get Krijjkar to work the platinum bars in the same way Stacy works the jewel fragments? This would be a nice new way to get gemstones!! Thanks :)

  8. Suggestion, in case you tweak the balance some more later on: add an additional fives minutes at the end of the 40 mins, during which all invasions mobs are attack-able. Reason: the invaders hacking away at the town are tired! So we should get to beat on them for hacking at the town so long untouched, without the runes holding back the slaughter! Whatcha think? Tweak the plat on that interval if necessary. Its sad to see about 10 people working really hard, with minimal yells about taskmasters/slavers coming in - and then squashing them as soon as they do come in, and yes still see 'severe' as a result of the total effort. Thanks :P

  9. I got to agree on the results issue... getting a bit irritated at working my butt off getting a rune as soon as prevent drops killing my mob helping anyone else I can find till the prevent drops and getting less and less reward for my effort.

I see the issue as there are too many chars working devourers and not enough small chars hitting the bashers and the like. Now sure you can say get enhanced and do that but enhanced leads to nasty mutts that waste time thus cutting down the time able to help lower level chars who may be in trouble.

  10. Also - how 'bout a slow or mud affect, mud being confined movement < 100% and/or anti-recall on people attacking defenders during invasion? Like a gate-guard type mob, weak, but gets a chance to throw some ogre mud on pk-flagged. Thanks ^^

  11. I like Serenity's idea about saving up platinum bars, don't get me wrong platinum is always nice but you're already getting that from the Bursar maybe Krijjkar could have some stuff you could buy with plat bars..

"answer gemstones / equipment / buffs"
for gemstones you'd give as many plat bars as you wanted.. for equipment you'd get a list of 1 week eq with prices matching power level.. buffs would be slightly weaker, maybe random and last for a week with !drop on death. or really powerful buffs that do drop on death ;)
